• The Chairman of Asharqia Chamber: the participation of the Crown Prince at the G20 strengthened the Kingdom's active and influential role in discussing pressing issues on the global agenda

    The Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, praised the participation of His Highness the Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, at the G20 summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which began on Friday and continued until Saturday, December 1, 2018.

    He emphasized, "It is a distinguished participation and honoring presence that strengthened the role of the Kingdom as an active and influential in the discussion of pressing economic issues on the global agenda."

    He referred to the friendly meetings that were held by His Highness the Crown Prince with the world leaders on the sidelines of the summit, which will result in future economic understandings that affect the trends of the global economy, as well as it strengthens the Kingdom's relations with the participating friendly countries, while at the same time is highlighting the Kingdom's pivotal role in the global economy.

    Al Khalidi stressed the central and pivotal role played by the Kingdom in achieving the global balance both economically and politically.

    Economically speaking, the Kingdom is being driven by a balanced policy, where the moderation in oil prices for producers and consumers are alike.

    And politically speaking, the Kingdom has the weight of a firm and a great place that not only in the Arab world and Islamic world, but the world.

     

    "The Kingdom is a key figure that cannot be overcome at the political or economic level," AlKhalidi said.

    He pointed out that the Kingdom has strengthened its position in the global economy by its good management of the various variables presented to the world from the beginning of the millennium to the present time, and the assets possessed by both oil and industrial or are currently developing it in accordance with the vision of 2030.

    In addition, the Kingdom has the space for modern technology, tourism and other modern sectors.

    He pointed out that the Kingdom ranks 17th among the economies of the G20 countries in terms of GDP, as well as among the G20 least developed countries in terms of debt to GDP ratio.

     

    Al-Khalidi pointed out that the Kingdom's participation in the G-20 in general is an expression of these convictions and the main premises of the Kingdom in its global environment, where the growth of the world economy and the maintenance of stability in the interests of all countries and peoples.​
